Back in 2004, a pilot project used ReflectionsCinc-coated Thermowand elements for balcony balustrades in the modernization of precast concrete buildings in the cities of Gera and Weimar. One current project is being carried out by BIM Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH to revamp a 100,000 square meter three-part building complex in the Berlin district of Lichtenberg.
In phase one of the project, the facade of a 200 meter long six-story building section was modernized to designs by Friedrich Ernst von Garnier. It involved the use of more than 5,000 square meters of ReflectionsCinc-coated corrugated profiles and Hoesch Thermowand sandwich panels from ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme. The sandwich panels create design accents between the windows, while the corrugated profiles serve as outer cladding for the stairwells. More than 3,500 square meters of construction elements with the ReflectionsCinc coating are already planned for phase two of the project, a 15-story building section.
ReflectionsCinc is available for all Hoesch Bausysteme facade elements (not for Sidingfacade Planeel) and has already been used in several reference projects.
